Water with Heat
Room Temperature
Supports excellent growth of gram-negative cocci and other pathogenic organisms. With added hemoglobin it is used for cultivation of Francisella tularensis.
Prepare medium by mixing 51 grams of agar medium in 1 Liter of purified water. Mix, heat and autoclave. Cool to 50-60°C. Add 100ml sterile 2% hemoglobin solution. Dispense into sterile petri dish or tube.
